Job summary

Young Automotive Group’s Young Collision Center is hiring a Bedliner Technician to prep truck beds and surfaces for spray-on bedliner applications, including masking, sanding, and surface prep. You’ll operate spray equipment to apply coatings and inspect results for quality.

Prior experience in automotive coatings or detailing is a plus. The role supports a family‑oriented culture with strong growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive coatings or detailing is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
• Willingness to work in a physical shop environment.
• Ability to operate spray equipment and automotive tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare truck beds and surfaces for spray-on bedliner by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prepping.
• Apply masking to prevent overspray on surrounding components.
• Operate spray equipment and apply bedliner coatings to quality standards.
• Inspect finished applications for consistency, appearance, and quality.
• Remove masking and stage vehicles for pickup; light shop duties as needed.
• Move vehicles safely within the shop and designated areas.

As a Bedliner Technician, you will be responsible for preparing truck beds and surfaces for spray-on bedliner application, including masking, sanding, and material prep. Previous experience in automotive accessories, body shop work, painting, coatings, or detailing is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare truck beds and vehicle surfaces for spray-on bedliner application by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prepping
• Apply protective masking materials to prevent overspray on surrounding vehicle components
• Operate spray equipment and apply bedliner coatings to company quality standards
• Inspect completed applications for consistency, appearance, and overall quality
• Remove masking materials, perform final clean-up of vehicles, and stage completed vehicles for pickup
• Safely move vehicles throughout the shop and designated lot areas
• Perform additional duties and assist with shop operations as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive accessories, detailing, and coatings is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
• Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check
• Comfortable working in a physically active shop environmentss
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, spray equipment, and other automotive shop equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb in and out of truck beds as needed
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
