Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Springfield, OH is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role at Allen View Healthcare Center. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered and you’ll be an in-house team member making a direct impact on residents’ therapy.

You’ll evaluate charts, plan and conduct rehab for communication, swallowing, and cognitive goals, educate families, and participate in interdisciplinary care. Opportunities to serve at multiple locations across the CommuniCare network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patient charts and evaluations under physician orders and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive issues; administer, score, and interpret speech tests.
• Instruct residents and families to monitor speech and provide practice strategies, diet recommendations, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend or lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and recommendations to the rehab team; participate in family meetings/education.

Qualifications:
