Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher for a self-contained PK-2 classroom in Massachusetts. The contract runs August 25, 2026 through June 2027, with full-time hours 8:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, supporting 5–8 students with severe disabilities.

Role includes direct instruction and personal care responsibilities. The ideal candidate holds a Massachusetts Special Education License and can adapt lesson plans for a sub-separate setting, collaborating closely with paras,

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Special Education License required.
• Experience working with students who have significant disabilities.
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans for a sub-separate/self-contained classroom environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment for early learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized instruction targeting IEP goals within a supportive, small-group setting.
• Provide daily support with feeding, mobility, toileting, and personal hygiene as required by student needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress, behavior, and health-related interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic, behavioral, and medical supports.
• Participate in regular staff meetings, family conferences, and school-based events as needed.
