Qualifications
- Minimum 48 college credit hours or passing score on the Parapro assessment.
- Experience interacting with elementary and middle school students.
- Ability to interact with students, parents, and co-workers.
- Strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Instruct special needs students according to their IEPs.
- Check notebooks and work assignments, grades, and correct as necessary.
- Monitor the behavior of students on the playground, cafeteria, and common areas.
- Attend to the personal needs of special needs children when necessary.
- Prepare teaching materials and related planning documents.
- Assist with cleaning and organizing classrooms.
- Attend to students' arrivals and departures and assist with drills.
