Job summary

Southeast Polk Community School District in Altoona, Iowa seeks a Teacher Associate (Sp Ed - Lv III) to support students under licensed staff. Hours are 7:00–2:45 on M, T, TH, F and 9:00–2:45 on W. Location is the Middle School with duties spanning instructional support and classroom supervision.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, and must meet background checks and pre-work screening requirements. Certification training including CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small groups or individual student instruction and supervision.
• Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment in various school settings.
• Assist with classroom set up and material preparation.
