Job summary

Tri-County Technical College is seeking a collaborative, innovative Full-Time Spanish Instructor to join the Arts and Sciences Division. You will contribute to a robust Associate of Arts program, shaping curriculum to meet evolving student needs while promoting transferability and academic excellence.

The role includes teaching in multiple modalities, serving as course director for SPA courses, advising students, and participating in divisional activities to strengthen the program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Spanish or Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and strong English communication skills.
• Availability to teach summer courses (online).
• Experience teaching at college or community college level.
• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
• Familiarity with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and communicative language teaching.
• Experience working with first-generation, dual enrollment, or non-traditional students.
• Experience using educational technology including Learning Management Systems like Blackboard.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and intermediate Spanish courses using planned instruction.
• Teach across modalities and settings (campus, dual enrollment, online).
• Serve as course director for SPA 101/102/201/202.
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate within the division and contribute on boards and committees.
• Serve as academic advisor and participate in recruiting/marketing.
