Job summary

Oregon Coast Community College invites applications for a part-time Spanish instructor in Academic Affairs. The position supports First Year Spanish II (4 credits/44 clock hours) for Winter Term 2027, with in-person class delivery and a focus on student-centered teaching.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Spanish required.
• Alternative: Master’s degree in related areas with at least 9 quarter hours or 6 semester hours in Spanish.
• Alternative: Master’s degree in any subject with a bachelor’s in the subject and 9 quarters/6 semesters of graduate credit in Spanish (to be approved to teach).
• Demonstrated competency through a combination of at least two: academic study, 2 years of teaching, related training, or professional experience in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students using approved course outcomes and syllabi.
• Prepare instructional materials as needed.
• Meet all assigned classes and maintain records of enrollment and progress.
• Engage in professional responsibilities and participate in college trainings.
• Use of media aids and collaboration with colleagues.
