Job summary

North 40 Outfitters is hiring a Full‑Time Small Engine Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair small engines in our Great Falls service shop. You will work with customers to diagnose issues and review completed work, with shifts Mon–Fri 8am–5pm and occasional weekends/holidays based on business needs.

We value teamwork, initiative, dependability, and a strong commitment to customer service. Honda, STIHL, and Husqvarna certifications are a plus, and the role involves lifting and physical work.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced service shop.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair small engines.
• Customer-facing problem solving and communication.
• Physically able to lift 0–65 lbs with team lift for heavy items.
• Experience with generator repairs and trailer repairs a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including some weekends/holidays.
• Prior mechanical experience preferred.
• Certification in Honda/STIHL/Husqvarna is advantageous.
