Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year near Mechanicsville, VA, serving the Richmond area. This full-time contract role offers competitive hourly pay and a supportive school-based environment.

You will assist the supervising SLP, implement therapy plans, document progress, and collaborate with educators and families to foster communication growth in students.

Prior school-based experience and Virginia SLPA licensure or eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
• Current SLPA license or eligibility to obtain in Virginia
• Previous experience within school settings is desirable
• Skilled in implementing therapy plans under SLP supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and motivated to support diverse student needs

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document student progress accurately
• Support students' articulation, language, and communication skill development within classroom and one-on-one settings
• Maintain thorough records and contribute to a collaborative team environment
• Communicate regularly with educators, parents, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
