Job summary

Backcountry Outlet is seeking a shop technician to support rental equipment maintenance and gear services in a fast-paced outdoor retail environment.

The ideal candidate will bring passion for outdoor activities, strong communication, and the ability to assist customers with gear recommendations and repairs. This role involves winter tuning, base and edge work, and collaboration within a Gearheads team.

Qualifications

• Shop experience and extensive knowledge of shop equipment required.
• Ability to maintain rental equipment as well as customer work.
• Ability to delegate tasks and workload to another shop tech.
• Winter specific knowledge of tuning, base and edge repair, etc.
• Bike knowledge is preferred though not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental equipment and assist customers with gear and services.
• Perform equipment repairs and tune-ups as needed.
• Assist in shop operations and task delegation during busy periods.
