Job summary

The Salvation Army Springfield Harbor House Shelter in Springfield, MO is seeking a full-time Cook with at least one year of cooking experience. The role involves preparing and serving meals, cleaning, and following health and safety regulations.

• Must have a valid food handling certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations/codes regarding food preparation and service including maintenance of proper sanitation by wearing plastic gloves, hair nets, and aprons.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Sanitize all cooking utensils and lift/carry cooking materials as needed.
• Operate necessary kitchen equipment for food preparation and cleanup.
• Attend state certification classes and participate in lodge staff meetings.
