Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Rochester, MN is hiring a Full Time Service Shop & Delivery Technician. You will load, assemble, service, and deliver Scheels merchandise while maintaining safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Flexibility is needed for hours between 9 a.m.

and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting wage is $19+ per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include ESOP, 401(k) with Roth options, health coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean, valid driver’s license and be DOT-eligible where applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Related experience or training in loading, assembly, or delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and accuracy during loading and transport of merchandise.
• Assemble, service, and deliver customer and store merchandise (e.g., exercise machines, trampolines, grills, furniture, bicycles).
• Troubleshoot and respond to customer delivery and equipment issues.
• Maintain records for store, customer equipment, and delivery trucks.
• Ensure a clean, professional appearance of delivery trucks and area.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Provide exceptional problem-solving to resolve delivery issues.
• Respect customer homes and property throughout delivery process.

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available at least (2) closing shifts per week. Average hours per week is 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety and accuracy during the loading and transport of merchandise to prevent damage to the products and customers' homes
• Efficiently assemble, service, and deliver customer and store merchandise. This may include, but is not limited to, exercise machines, trampolines, basketball hoops, grills, furniture, game tables, bicycles, and other Scheels merchandise
• Troubleshoot and respond to customer delivery and equipment issues
• Maintain accurate and detailed records for the store, customer equipment, and delivery trucks
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance of the Scheels delivery trucks and the delivery area in your store
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and delivery issues
• Be respectful of the customer’s home and property throughout the delivery process
• All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate must possess a clean, valid driver’s license and be an approved driver through DOT (DOT may not apply to all store locations) and Scheels Driving Standards, and be at least 21 years of age . High School Diploma, or General Education Degree(GED), one to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
