Job summary

ACERTUS is seeking a Service Porter in Houston, TX. You will move and park vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and manage inventory at the hub. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Pay: $16 an hour. The role interacts with Operations Team, Clients and Vendors and is full-time.

You will tag, park, receive/release, inventory vehicles, and assist with maintenance trips. Prior dealership porter experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have a valid Regular Driver’s License.
• DOT medical card preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Previous automobile dealership porter experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place a numbered tag on vehicle windshield for parking.
• Drive vehicle to parking space or point out space for driver.
• Receive and release vehicles.
• Complete weekly inventory of vehicles at hub.
• Move vehicles to and from repair/maintenance shops.
• Service vehicles with gasoline, oil, and water.
• Stage vehicles for pickup.
• Take photos of vehicles upon client request.
• Patrol area to maintain security and prevent theft.
• Willing to perform other duties as assigned by management.

ACERTUS is the only tech-enabled automotive logistics company to move, store, recondition, title & register finished vehicles. As a Service Porter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including moving and parking vehicles, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and inventory management. This position interacts with members of the Operations Team, Clients and Vendors. This is a fulltime position.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $16 an hour

What will you be doing?

• You must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management.

What are we looking for?

• Must be 23 years of age.
• Candidates over the age of 65 are subject to an additional review process for insurance purposes.
• Candidates over the age of 65 must provide a letter of insurability from their personal physician for insurance purposes.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must have a Valid REGULAR Driver’s License
• Current and valid DOT medical card preferred.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Previous Automobile Dealership Porter experience preferred.
