Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is hiring a full-time Cook in Michigan to prepare meals for residents and guests according to menus and recipes. You will support other kitchen staff, maintain food quality, and ensure sanitation and safety in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable communication, and a commitment to high standards of service. This position involves standing most of the day and occasional travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, proper cooking status, and seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for the next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive team environment and support residents, families, and guests.
