Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a full-time Cook in Michigan with shifts 6am-2pm and 11am-7pm. You will prepare food for residents and guests according to menus, recipes and planned events, while maintaining quality and sanitation in a collaborative kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of line cook experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or technical school.
• Minimum three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Follow planned menus and standard recipes.
• Plate items with proper portioning, garnishing, and presentation.
• Assist other kitchen staff and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and prepared; communicate shortages.
• Maintain freshness, proper cooking status, and seasoning of all foods.
• Stock and clean workstation for next shift; follow safety practices.
• Present a professional appearance and wear uniform and name tag.
