Job summary

Bethea Retirement Community in Darlington, SC is looking for a friendly Dietary Aide to join our Dining Services team on a full-time basis. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, assist with kitchen cleanliness, and ensure residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or dietary aide is a plus, but training is provided.
• Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry up to 30 lbs during shift.
• Friendly, patient, and dependable with a genuine passion for serving older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up dining room tables, tray lines, and serving meals to residents promptly and warmly.
• Help prepare beverages, snacks, side dishes, and desserts per daily plans and therapeutic diets.
• Clear dining tables, operate the dishwasher, sanitize prep stations, and tidy kitchen/dining areas.
• Follow resident diet cards to ensure texture and liquid modifications meet orders.
• Build friendly relationships with residents to enhance dining experiences.
