Job summary

Sunstates Security in Toledo, Ohio is hiring full-time Security Officers for 2nd shift. The role offers $17.00 per hour with weekly pay and opportunities for professional growth within a nationally recognized security provider.

You will monitor facilities, control access, patrol premises, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence and adhering to client and company SOPs. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good communication skills

• Provide professional security services by monitoring facility operations and maintaining a visible security presence
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by verifying identification and enforcing access requirements
• Conduct routine patrols and report safety hazards and security concerns
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security equipment and respond to incidents
• Maintain documentation including incident reports and logs

Sunstates Security is hiring Full-Time Security Officers in the Toledo, Ohio area. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for 2nd shift! This position offers a pay rate of$17.00/hr, with weekly pay.

Job Requirements

Requirements and Responsibilities

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Provide professional security services by monitoring facility operations, maintaining a visible security presence, and ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures.
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by verifying identification, maintaining visitor management systems, and enforcing access authorization requirements.
• Conduct routine patrols of production areas, offices, parking lots, gates, and facility grounds to identify and report safety hazards, security concerns, and operational risks.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment, responding appropriately to suspicious activity, incidents, or equipment malfunctions. Wait: correct closing
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily activity reports, incident reports, visitor logs, vehicle logs, key control records, and access control documentation.
• Enforce facility security protocols by inspecting doors, gates, emergency exits, and restricted areas to ensure they remain secure and operational.
• Coordinate and assist with emergency response activities, severe weather notifications, safety incidents, investigations, and other security-related events.
• Manage key control procedures by inventorying, securing, and documenting all keys and access devices issued during each shift.
• Support facility operations through visitor assistance, contractor coordination, delivery verification, truck gate processing, and employee access management.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills while maintaining professionalism, situational awareness, and adherence to all company, client, and safety standards.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
