Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Maintain a professional security presence by arriving on time, reviewing pass-down information, and assuming post responsibilities at the start of each shift.
• Control and monitor all inbound and outbound freight traffic, vendor deliveries, employee access, and visitor activity.

• Control and monitor all inbound and outbound freight traffic, vendor deliveries, employee access, and visitor activity.
• Conduct routine interior, exterior, parking lot, and perimeter patrols to identify and deter security, safety, and operational concerns.
• Monitor gatehouse communications, telephones, radios, and security equipment, ensuring all equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized individuals, safety hazards, and security violations in a timely and professional manner.
• Verify identification, investigate unauthorized access attempts, and follow established procedures for handling trespassers or suspicious persons.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, pass-down notes, and other required documentation.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, spills, accidents, security breaches, and other critical situations while following site procedures.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged property, equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, and potential risks to client assets.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and professionalism while interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, drivers, and emergency responders.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
