Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role based in Kansas City, MO and Independence, MO. You will maintain a secure environment, handle emergencies, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Ideal candidates will be 18+ years old, possess a HS diploma or GED, and demonstrate strong customer service. Prior security or military experience is a plus; pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer/tech skills.
• Prior security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Must work independently with excellent customer service.
• Must stay calm under pressure and vigilant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment for employees, customers and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances/exits.
• Conduct patrols of premises including buildings and parking lots.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems and equipment.
