Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role in Kansas City, MO. The position protects people and property through patrols, monitoring, access control, and incident response, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Pay is $19.50 per hour with benefits including medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, paid training, weekly pay, and more. Requirements include at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and vigilant during shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/ efficient judgement and escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
