Securitas USA is hiring a Full Time Security Officer in Topeka, KS. The role focuses on safety, customer service, and vigilance across assigned posts, with routine reporting and on-site collaboration with staff and guests.

The position requires independence, calm under pressure, and the ability to follow post orders while using technology tools to monitor and respond to incidents. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and escalation.

Responsibilities

• Conflicts resolved and de-escalated.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks of similar nature for assigned site.

Wage Range: $14.00-$19.00/HR (Based On Site & Experience)

What You Can Expect:
