Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Security Officer for full-time employment. The role includes monitoring premises, controlling access, patrolling varied client sites, and enforcing site regulations to maintain a safe environment.

You will engage with employees and guests, provide information, conduct rounds with technology devices, and report hazards. The position requires 18+ years old, a High School Diploma or GED, and security experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate as needed.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Overland Park, KS

Wage: $22.50/HR

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Client and public interaction experience preferred.
• Security experience required.
