Job summary

Prosegur in Richardson, TX is hiring a full-time Security Officer for 2nd/3rd shifts including weekends. You will patrol client sites, deter theft and ensure safety, while delivering professional customer service.

Requirements include 1 year of security experience, a valid Texas Level II Unarmed Security License, and strong reporting skills. You will work with access control tech and must be able to handle emergencies calmly.

Qualifications

• Must have one-year Security Officer experience.
• Must have a valid Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License.
• Excellent communication in English; ability to prepare reports and logs.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Must have one-year Security Officer experience
• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check
• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have one-year Security Officer experience
• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
• Security or related work experience with a solid understanding of the security industry and contract security services
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
