Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for clients. The role covers monitoring, access control, and patrolling various locations while enforcing site regulations for personnel and visitors.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and strong computer/tech skills, with excellent customer service and teamwork. Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus; all candidates must complete pre-employment

• Must remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Primary Location: Lawrence, KS

Wage: $19.00/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
