Job summary

Boyd Gaming Security is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests, team members, and property at our Dubuque, IA site. You will patrol casino and exterior areas to identify disturbances or hazards and respond to emergencies in line with laws and company policies.

The role requires standing and walking for full shifts, with possible driving duties and applicable licenses or certifications. Prior casino security experience is preferred and all necessary licenses must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand and walk for a full shift.
• Physical requirements include lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and exertion.
• Prior experience in casino security or similar field preferred.
• May require valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the Company.
• Must obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies in accordance with all applicable laws and company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the security of all keys.
• Complete requisite paperwork related to shift activities.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to: lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and episodes of moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
• Prior experience in casino security (or similar field) preferred.
• May be required to possess a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Company and/or its insurers.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
