Job summary

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Security Guard at our Groton, CT site. The role involves patrolling facilities, enforcing rules, and documenting shifts to ensure safety for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security/safety officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
• Monitor all buildings/grounds.
• Enforce rules and regulations, including curfew; check windows, doors, and locks.
• Inspect outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
• Ensure company vehicle(s) at site are locked and secure.
• Complete documentation as required (rounds checklist, HPRs).
• Report on maintenance issues including cleanliness of guest areas.
• Submit end of shift report daily with incidents and any contraband documented.
