Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Driver Entry Management in Columbus, OH. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support security operations in a chemical/petrochemical setting. This is a driving position with day-time to night shifts.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and a valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, credentials, and authorization; and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures and promptly report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
