Job summary

Shriners Children's Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Wheelchair and Durable Medical Equipment Technician to provide seating and mobility equipment for infants to young adults. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure proper seating and DME aligns with patient needs.

The role supports assessment, fitting, and ongoing maintenance of wheelchairs, with emphasis on safety and adaptive equipment. CPR eligibility is required within three months of hire, and ATP certification is

Qualifications

• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 2 years seating and mobility technology experience preferred.
• ATP certification preferred.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address seating and DME needs for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with therapists to select and fit seating systems.
• Assist with maintenance: batteries, joysticks, tires, brakes in wheelchairs.
• Ensure safety hardware and proper cleaning of equipment.
