The PHILADELPHIA SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Adaptive Equipment Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on wheelchairs and mobility aids for students with orthopedic challenges. In this role, you will train staff on equipment safety and functionality, ensuring all aids are in proper working order.

Title: Adaptive Equipment Technician
Department: School-Based
Reports To: Widener School Principal
Performs maintenance, repair and adjustments of wheelchairs (Manual and Power), adapted equipment, and mobility aids that will be utilized for therapeutic purposes for children with orthopedic challenges. Trains/educates staff on the proper use and safety of equipment purchased. Installs equipment purchased for power/manual chairs, and adapted equipment. Assembles equipment purchased for the use of students. Equipment includes (adaptive chairs, standers, strollers, wheelchairs, tables, etc.), inspects wheelchairs for warranty acceptance or return for repairs.
