Job summary

Jubilee Leadership Academy in Brownsville, Texas is seeking a Full Time Substitute to support classroom coverage and campus operations. The role is salaried, non-exempt, with full-time hours (40 per week) and a 190-day term.

Reports to the campus principal or designee. Position involves assisting with daily school activities, safety drills, and administrative tasks as needed by the campus administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of previous experience working with children in a school setting highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill duties as a substitute teacher as needed.
• Supervises students in buildings and on school grounds as assigned; inspects lavatories, hallways, parking lots and other areas.
• Handles routine student concerns and minor disciplinary situations in accordance with school policy and procedures.
• Assists during fire drills, evacuations and emergencies as directed; helps with student management.
• Ensures students maintain good order and discipline while transitioning between classes or locations.
• Provide support to office personnel on an as-needed basis.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
