Job summary

BASIS Mesa is seeking a Full-Time Monitor to join our bright, passionate team. The Monitor is responsible for monitoring student activities and ensuring safety during lunches, recesses, parking duty, and early/late bird programs; front office support as applicable.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma and an Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card. Preference given to those with school or child care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience in a school or child care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure safety
• Oversee students' behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before and after school
• Report any unruly behavior to school management
• Inform supervisor of any damages to school property
• Respond to emergency situations, such as injuries or food allergies, with urgency
• Exercise sound judgement in carrying out duties
• Assist in front office support, as applicable
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance
• Supervise individual students and/or groups of students during structured and unstructured times
