Responsibilities

Provide care and oversight of student health under physician orders and school policy.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive student health records.
Participate in IEP development related to preschool health matters.
Review immunization records annually for compliance with immunization schedule.
Update School Health Services Plan with School Physician as requested.
Communicate effectively with parents, districts, agencies, students and staff.
Maintain knowledge of and interpret school policies and applicable NJ and Federal laws.
Attend school activities and accompany students on field trips as directed.
Cover for other nurses and cross-train on specialized equipment including trach/ventilation care.
