Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Full-time Cook at Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School in Erie, PA. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7am–2pm, with no weekends or holidays, following the school schedule.

The successful candidate will assemble, cook, and plate meals, maintain a clean kitchen, and contribute to daily menus with the team. We value energy, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality foodservice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and sanitation practices.
• Exceptional food presentation and plating skills.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook and season ingredients according to recipes.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and food handling standards.
• Prepare ingredients and cook hot meals (grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying).
• Attend to order detail, timing and presentation for each plate.
• Store leftovers and follow dating, labeling and rotation standards.
