Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead in Oskaloosa, IA. The role coordinates activities of other food-service staff, creating an enjoyable dining experience for students and staff.

Location is Oskaloosa Community School District at 1800 North 3rd Street, with a Monday–Friday 6:30 am to 2:00 pm schedule and a pay range of $17.00–$19.00 per hour. Online applications are accepted only.

Qualifications

• Prior managerial experience is required; K-12 experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with detailed attention to each customer.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverages per company standards (presentation, sanitation, safety, portion control).
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email for electronic complaints.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence.
