Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or completed a training program in janitorial work.
• Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Basic English sufficient to read and understand simple directions.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Learn custodial methods, supplies, materials, chemicals, tools and equipment.
• Learn safety, sanitization and energy-conservation requirement of the Board.
• Must have a valid Driver License.
• Must have physical strength and stamina to lift/carry/move heavy objects weighing as much as 80 pounds.
• Working conditions include indoor and outdoor environment; exposure to chemicals, dust, and dirt.
• Must be able to work in extreme weatherconditions (heat and cold), confined spaces and isolated areas.
