Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a Cook for a full-time daytime shift at Airport Community Schools in Carleton, MI. The role runs 6:00 am to 1:30 pm with a fixed pay rate of $16.50 per hour and online applications accepted only.

Prior cooking experience is preferred; training is provided. The job entails following recipes, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting food service operations.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, and ensuring proper serving temperatures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Maintains HACCP standards and reports maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
