Job summary

Chandler Unified School District 80 seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with articulation, voice, fluency and language disorders. The role involves collaboration with teachers, developing treatment plans, and maintaining student records in a district setting.

Minimum qualifications include Arizona licensure for SLP, state certificate, and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• AZ Department of Health Services Speech and Language Pathology License is required.
• AZ Department of Education issued Speech Language Pathologist Certificate is required.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening protocol to identify children with speech/language deficits.
• Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing and referring students with suspected deficits.
• Administer informal diagnostic techniques and formal standardized tests to diagnose and identify articulation, voice, fluency, or language disorders.
• Develop and maintain speech and language treatment plans with goals, objectives, methods, frequency and duration.
• Provide a therapeutic program to meet the individual needs of speech/language impaired children.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to schedule therapy sessions and coordinate learning objectives.
