Daily Responsibilities

Sales Specialists actively engage with customers, discussing project needs, answering questions, and providing product information. You'll become a product expert, informing customers about specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to facilitate sales. You may work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service by understanding needs and communicating product benefits.
  • Act as a liaison for customers and vendors, managing project estimates, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinating with vendors and stores.
  • Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
  • Support checkout processes and assist customers as needed.
  • Train and mentor new associates on the sales floor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience)
  • Experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics
  • Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
  • Obtain any required sales-related licenses or registrations (Lowe's supports and funds this process)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience completing customer sales orders
  • Experience promoting product services like installation or financing
  • Design experience using CAD systems
  • Relevant certifications
  • Bilingual skills

Additional Details

This role does not require regular travel but may occasionally involve travel for meetings or training. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions. Proper lifting techniques and equipment use are required.
