Job summary

Alter Trading Corporation in Janesville, WI is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator for 1st shift (Mon–Fri, with occasional weekends). You will operate forklifts and yard equipment, unload customer scrap metal, conduct safety inspections, and sort materials to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Manually unload customer scrap metal
• Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Load, unload, and sort materials
• Inspect materials to meet quality standards
• Understand and apply knowledge of material grades and acceptable loads
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned
