Job Description
Position Title: Room Attendant - Full Time
Department: Housekeeping
Reports to: Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor
Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Compensation
$15.00 an hour
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of sanitation and maintenance in guest rooms.
- Complete special projects assigned by supervisors or housekeeping managers.
- Handle situations requiring immediate attention.
- Be physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift.
- Be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Pick up room reports and keys daily; sign for all keys.
- Follow key procedures and ensure rooms are secured after cleaning.
- Minimize noise in guest areas during work.
- Proceed directly to the linen room, then start cleaning assigned rooms.
- Check-out rooms first unless otherwise requested.
- Respect Do Not Disturb signs and verify late check-outs with a supervisor.
- Clean rooms using established procedures, chemicals, and tools.
- Return carts to the linen room at the end of shift.
- Follow Lost and Found procedures for items found.
- Perform any other duties to support our organizational values and goals.
Essential Functions
- Effective verbal communication with guests and coworkers.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to visually inspect work and surroundings.
- Minimum lifting requirement of 30 pounds.
