Job summary

Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant in Berkeley, CA, is seeking a Sales Associate for our Marin Country Mart shop in Larkspur. The role focuses on direct customer interaction, wine recommendations, and driving in-store sales while restocking and supporting day-to-day shop operations.

You will gain exposure to the Kermit Lynch portfolio and become a trusted resource for customers, assisting with inventory, POS, and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of wine sales and customer service experience.
• Foundational knowledge of French and Italian wine.
• Proven strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work Thursday - Monday, 10 AM - 6 PM schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding shopping experience by offering personalized service.

• Handle wine deliveries, stock movement, and other physical tasks related to maintaining inventory and assisting customers.

Founded in 1972, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant is an importer, retailer, wholesaler, and distributor of fine wine from France and Italy, headquartered in Berkeley, California. We exclusively sell our own imports from French and Italian winegrowers, purchasing wines direct from the domaines and focusing on small producers whose wines express the authentic style of their native region. Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant is looking for a motivated salesperson to join our retail team as a Sales Associate at our Marin Country Mart shop in Larkspur. This position involves direct customer interaction, wine sales, restocking inventory, and assisting with day-to-day operations in the shop. You will gain broad exposure to the Kermit Lynch portfolio while becoming a trusted resource for our valued customers.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be available to work the regular Thursday - Monday, 10 AM - 6 PM schedule
• French and/or Italian language proficiency a plus

$65,000 - $75,000 plus benefits package
