Retail Production/Donation

The primary responsibility of the team member in this position is to support the store in merchandising, production, and accepting and sorting donations. Persons in this position support the retail goals of the store by performing their daily tasks and practicing the agency’s core values of Success, Collaboration, People and Positivity.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Functions

• Greet donors in donation areas and assist in unloading vehicles while treating donated goods with care and placing items in proper location.
• Examine donated goods to determine if they are sell‑able.
• Meet or exceed daily goals.
• Practice safe and effective work habits.
• Merchandise items in the store to increase sales.
• Assist with the unloading and loading of products.
• Keep backroom organized and clean.
• Ensure all production and donor records are completed correctly.
• Determine price and label each item using established categories.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skilled in recognizing the quality and value of items.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring standing, bending, twisting, reaching and grasping six to eight hours per day. The job also includes frequent pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying objects weighing an average of 35 lbs. and occasional climbing.
