The purpose of the Retail Merchandising Specialist is to be a full-time dedicated BDS Rep conducting break-fix, installation, and ad-hoc maintenance work, as well as general merchandising tasks. Responsibilities include installing/building displays, end caps, fixturing, maintaining displays, PLANOGRAM reset, conducting break-fix repairs, and supporting our in-store prescription drug collection program.

Responsibilities
  1. Install/build displays, fixturing, endcaps, including setup of security, cabling, wiring, monitors/media, and audio.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve display issues to ensure functionality and maintenance compliance.
  3. Lead multi-rep projects, possibly involving travel up to 120 miles.
  4. Perform ad-hoc maintenance, including store service within 48-72 hours and troubleshooting with necessary parts.
  5. Travel as needed, with paid drive time and mileage; occasional overnight travel preferred.
  6. Work 40-50+ hours per week, Monday to Friday, with possible weekend work.
  7. Accurately report visit statuses and perform merchandising functions like reset PLANOGRAMs, POP, and pricing.
  8. Build relationships in-store, participate in weekly calls, and complete administrative tasks promptly.
  9. Assist with prescription drug collection, interacting only with pharmacists and store leadership.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with display building, fixturing, monitor cabling, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with tools and schematics.
  • Good communication skills, organized, and able to manage accounts independently.
  • Proficient with smartphones/tablets, GPS, and reporting apps.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Basic toolkit including screwdriver, drill, wrenches, etc.
  • Complete required training before visits.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift (up to 100 lbs with support), climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
  • Work in various physical positions and environments, including travel and possibly operating machinery.
