Create a welcoming first impression by greeting guests, managing the flow of seating, supporting dining room readiness, and helping the restaurant deliver warm, organized service. The Restaurant Host welcomes and seats guests, supports to-go and room service orders where applicable, assists with point-of-sale and payment activity, maintains clean and prepared guest areas, and communicates with the food and beverage team to support guest satisfaction and service flow.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide a welcoming first impression
- Escort guests to appropriate tables based on seating availability, guest needs, and service flow
- Answer phone calls, take accurate to-go or room service orders where assigned, and enter requests into the point-of-sale system
- Record guest requests, modifications, and special instructions clearly and accurately
- Maintain host stand, dining room entrance, tables, booths, chairs, service stations, and surrounding guest areas so they remain clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Prepare, inspect, organize, and restock rolled silverware, menus, service supplies, and other items needed for daily restaurant readiness
- Process payments, support cash handling, balance assigned bank or drawer, and follow property procedures where assigned
- Know and understand applicable brand food and beverage selections, restaurant offerings, and guest service expectations
- Communicate guest needs, seating updates, supply needs, inventory concerns, and service opportunities to leadership and the food and beverage team
- Review product levels as assigned and communicate with management to help maintain appropriate par levels, including alcohol where applicable
- Ask for required proof of age when serving alcohol or supporting alcohol service where applicable
- Follow safe food, beverage, sanitation, alcohol service, chemical handling, and workplace guidelines per Federal, State, Terratron, and Brand policies
- Support opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and side work as assigned
- Adhere to company policies, standards, procedures, and property-specific expectations
- Extend professionalism to guests, residents, customers, clients, vendors, and associates
- Be proactive, prompt, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Act with integrity, demonstrate teamwork, and maintain the spirit to serve
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and be in uniform as assigned
- Understand and follow basic safety, security, and emergency procedures
- Support a culturally diverse workplace and comply with applicable Federal and State laws
- Assist in other departments or property-specific tasks as business needs require
- Maintain sanitary conditions and follow safe food, beverage, and alcohol service expectations applicable to the role

- Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds and lift up to 20 pounds above shoulders where required by the position
- Flexible scheduling may be required based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, days, evenings, and nights
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and work safely per Federal, State, Terratron, and Brand policies
