Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking an Adult Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for full-time day or night shifts with a sign-on bonus. Position involves pediatric through geriatric respiratory care, diagnostics, and ventilation support in a hospital setting.

Required Associate's degree with state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and NBRC-RRT certification; BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire are expected. Excellent communication and data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current state license as Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Data entry and Windows applications proficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures.
• Document all clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and population.
