Job summary

TranscendED in Matthews, NC is seeking a compassionate group counselor to join our treatment team at the Matthews 28105 location. The ideal candidate is experienced in facilitating groups and is dedicated to supporting behavioral health and eating disorder recovery.

This full-time role involves leading therapeutic groups (DBT, coping skills, education), collaborating with the treatment team, ensuring confidentiality, and supporting clients' progress in a welcoming on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or related field preferred.
• 1 year experience in Behavioral Health; eating disorder setting or group home preferred.
• Valid and active North Carolina Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead therapeutic groups focusing on coping skills, relapse prevention, DBT, education, and life skills.
• Communicate observations and progress to the treatment team for coordinated care.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in meal support therapy (MST) with clients.
