Iowa Home Consulting, LLC in Central Iowa is seeking a full-time team member to assist with residential remodeling projects. The role fits someone developing skills across trades or an experienced craftsperson who enjoys hands-on work without managing an entire remodel.

You’ll work from an assigned scope with guidance from a field lead, and as you demonstrate skill, you’ll take on more complex, independent tasks. Compensation is hourly, with pay growth tied to demonstrated skill and independence.

• Must have reliable hands-on work experience or strong construction aptitude.
• Trade training or strong construction aptitude is required.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks carefully and use tools safely at your current skill level.
• Honest awareness of what you can do independently and where you need direction.

• Complete assigned work in carpentry, demolition, drywall, flooring, painting, installation, and finish work as per experience.
• Follow project scope and ask questions when conditions or materials differ from the plan.
• Protect customers’ homes and maintain a safe, organized jobsite.
• Document progress, material needs, and issues that require a decision.
• Build skills through feedback and increasingly independent assignments.

You’ll work from an assigned scope with direction from a field lead. As you demonstrate skill and judgment, you can take on more complex and independent work.

• Follow the project scope and ask questions when conditions, measurements, or materials differ from the plan.
• Protect customers’ homes and maintain a safe, organized jobsite.
• Document progress, material needs, and issues that require a decision.
• Build your skills through feedback and increasingly independent assignments.

What you need coming in

• Reliable hands-on work experience, trade training, or strong construction aptitude.

You do not need to be ready to manage a remodel or lead a crew. We do expect you to take ownership of the quality of the work assigned to you.

This is a full-time, hourly role. Growth in pay and responsibility is tied to demonstrated skill and the work you can perform independently.
