Work Environment

The rehabilitation center in Fort Myers is a vibrant and inviting facility equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic tools. Our schedule runs Monday through Friday, allowing for a consistent 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions for patients with various conditions, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related issues.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to optimize treatment outcomes and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the rehabilitation process.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic care in person, ensuring alignment with the physician’s plan of care.
• Educate and empower patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation processes, exercises, and home care techniques to enhance recovery.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment adjustments.
• Meet established minimum utilization goals, while ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient demographic, encompassing individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, tailoring your interventions to meet their specific needs. By fostering strong therapeutic relationships, you will encourage patients to achieve and exceed their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (preferably APTA or CAPTE-approved).
• Active state license in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support certification by the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with proficiency in word processing and computer applications.
• A commitment to building positive relationships with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Preferred Experience

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
