Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures such as oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride treatments, oral cancer screenings, and x-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene importance, including instructions and demonstrations
• Communicate with doctors regarding restorative and periodontal needs
• Review and update dental and health history records for patients

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and valid state license
• X-Ray/Radiology Certification as required by state regulations
• Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification if mandated by state regulations

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a clinical environment with potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours daily. Must be able to lift 15 pounds and handle tools and equipment as needed.
