Job summary

The City of Goose Creek is seeking a dedicated custodian to keep recreation complex buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for all users. The role includes cleaning floors, restrooms, glass, and perform light maintenance, with a Monday–Friday shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of custodian experience, and a valid SC driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. Base pay is $16.64 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of custodian experience, light maintenance preferred.
• Six months of commercial or professional cleaning experience required.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Mops, dusts, and cleans floors.
• Vacuums carpeted areas.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Wash showers.
• Strips, waxes, and buffs floors as necessary.
• Cleans glass and windows.
• Removes trash and sweeps areas.
• Performs light maintenance as necessary.
• Reconfigures rooms as requested.
• Backs up co-workers as needed.
